IPY has ended but DOKIPY is still accepting datasets from Norwegian IPY projects. Datasets may be uploaded for online access and preservation (please check requirements for new datasets) or metadata may be entered using a form and linked to the online dataset hosted and preserved elsewhere.

The software running the service have been updated with better support for operational datasets.

A new option has been added to the interactive file upload service. This option will check whether your file conforms to the file format specification or not and generate a report. It will however not upload the data, to do that please use the standard upload function. This functionlity is only available to registered users.

The interactive file upload service of DOKIPY has been implemented. This service provides an automated interface for data and metadata submission. Files can be uploaded in NetCDF or CDL format, if fulfilling the requirements on structure and metadata, they will be parsed and implemented in the database. ECMWF and METNO HIRLAM data for the Arctic is available online through a rolling archive. Data for other areas are available upon request for IPY scientists. ECMWF data are access controlled. Please contact us with proper information on your IPY affilation if you want data. A graphical interface to selected fields is available to everyone.
